This real silver powder is manufactured in Japan specifically for Kintsugi made intentionally for Kintsugi (traditionally Japanese gold repair) and Maki-e (traditional Japanese lacquer work) by a precious metal manufacture. It is milled to a minimum of #325 and is an ultra fine dust. I wrote my Master's dissertation on conservation of Japanese Ceramic's 20 years ago at NYU and worked at the Brooklyn Museum in their Asian Art Department. I have practiced Kintsugi for near 20 years and this is the best powder I have found after sampling many different silver dusts for Kintsugi repair. I also use this silver dust for silver overglaze enameling in ceramics as well. Great product at a great price.
